The Borough of Warrington.
Agathoclis Beckmann tendered for this project in association with Peter Goulder Ltd, the survey work for which commenced in 2007. Warrington Borough Council required not only a Landscape Character Assessment, but also for us to identify and describe pressures on the landscape, which threaten the character of the landscape.
LCA Master Plan
The field survey works revealed some interesting finds, such as relict medieval field systems in the village of Croft and a little-known battlefield site at Red Bank, Winwick.
LC Type 3 - Red Sandstone Escarpment
Each Landscape Type was described as was each Landscape Area within the Type. This was done by establishing a series of field stations, each located to achieve as comprehensive a view over the surrounding landscape as possible.
